Welcome to the LaVor & Vernelle Reed family blog. Once this has reached everyone in the family I hope that I'll be able to add more authors and we'll all be able to share things on this site. I have created a group on Facebook.com but I know that most of you either have not joined, or don't wish to sign up for those types of websites. Hopefully this site will be able to appeal to everyone.
I have set a date for our first family reunion; December 23 - 24, 2009. I was hoping that everyone could check in with me on the 22nd, and then the reunion officially begins the next day. Don't worry it won't be jam-packed with activites, but it'll be a lot of fun! If any of you have suggestions call me 801-491-2819 or email me at stephen_lisl@hotmail.com. I plan to have a rough draft of events and pricing out to everyone by January. I hope I'll get feed back from everyone at that time, and I look forward to hearing from everyone!
Just to fill you in on a few ideas that I have had so far. . . I want to recreate some of the old traditions of our family back when the cousins, from James, all the way to Tanya had a slumber party. Of course there won't be a slumber party this time, but we will share in all the other traditions. I am very glad to hear that many of you have expressed enthusiasm for this reunion, and I hope it'll trigger more reunions in the future. It'll be a great start to a new tradition!!

Lisl, I just want to say that you are ingenuous. What a great idea! I have not been big enough on blogs to start one of my own, but I think as a family blog its just right for me. Davy and I are so excited about this reunion and are very much on board. After my recovery and getting into the swing of being a mommy of two, I will be there to help you out. Me likes the blog, the reunion dates, and the music. Very good work. I'm so glad you took this on and did such a good job. I never responded to the survey, but those are the dates we were leaning towards.
